Jud Keresztesi is an Australian born artist of Hungarian heritage, residing in Melbourne. From an early age Jud has been drawn to painting. She continued this passion by studying art and design at Swinburne Technology and interior design at RMIT. Jud has now been professionally painting for 18 years and has developed her signature style of textural palette knife work, limited use of a brush creating her characteristic brooding scenes and use of English bronze powder mixed with oil medium to create ‘liquid gold’.
Jud’s inspiration comes from varying sources such as natural phenomenon, bushland and the love for water, in particular oceans and lagoons. Jud’s paintings represent the emotions evoked by such watery landscapes rather than attempting to recreate an exact location.
